By using the services of Precise Moving Chicago ("Company", "we", "our", or "us"), you ("Customer", "Client", or "you") agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before scheduling or receiving any services.
1. Services Provided
Precise Moving Chicago offers residential and commercial moving services, including but not limited to: packing, loading, unloading, and transportation of personal or business property.
2. Estimates & Pricing
All estimates provided are non-binding unless stated otherwise in writing. Final charges may vary based on actual time, materials, and scope of work required. Additional fees may apply for:
-Stairs or long carries
-Oversized or specialty items (e.g. pianos, safes)
-Additional packing materials
-Last-minute scheduling changes
3. Payment Terms
Payment is due in full upon completion of the move unless otherwise agreed. We accept major credit cards, cash, and certified checks. A deposit may be required to confirm your booking. Non-payment may result in additional fees and/or legal action.
4. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made:
-More than 48 hours before the move: full refund of deposit
-Less than 48 hours: 50% of deposit refunded
-Same-day cancellation or no-show: no refund
5. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
-Ensuring all items are packed and ready unless packing services are ordered
-Securing valuables and fragile items
-Providing accurate inventory and moving details
-Notifying us of any special handling requirements
6. Liability & Insurance
We take great care in handling your belongings. However, standard liability coverage is limited to $0.60 per pound per item unless full value protection is purchased.
We are not liable for:
-Items packed by the customer
-Electronics not in original packaging
-Damages resulting from poor building conditions (e.g. narrow hallways, loose banisters)
-Items of extraordinary value (e.g. jewelry, cash, antiques) unless declared in writing beforehand
7. Claims
Any claim for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within 7 days of the move. Please include:
-Description of the item
-Description of the damage
-Photos (if applicable)
-Proof of value (receipts, appraisals)
We reserve the right to inspect and investigate all claims.
8. Delays
We make every effort to complete moves in a timely manner. However, we are not responsible for delays due to weather, traffic, mechanical issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
9. Prohibited Items
We do not move hazardous materials, firearms, explosives, illegal items, perishable food, or live animals. Please consult with us in advance if you're unsure whether an item is permitted.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes shall be resolved in courts located in Cook County, IL.
11. Modifications
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website with the effective date.
